A Titus 2 woman is a woman who is growing in godly character and intentionally helps other women grow in their faith. Titus 2 shows us a beautiful picture of women teaching women, older believers investing in younger believers, and spiritual maturity being passed from one generation to the next.

And before you think, Well, I'm not old enough to be a Titus 2 woman, keep reading.

Because this is about sooo much more than age.

It's about maturity.

It's about discipleship.

It's about becoming the kind of woman whose life points other women toward Jesus.

Titus 2 gives us a picture of women who don't simply KNOW Scripture but LIVE it. Their faith affects the way they speak, love, serve, teach, encourage and carry themselves.

And then they turn around and help another woman do the same.

THAT is biblical mentorship.

Where Does the Titus 2 Woman Come From?

The phrase “Titus 2 woman” comes from Titus 2:3-5, where Paul gives instructions about how mature Christian women should live and how they should disciple younger women.

Paul writes:

“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live... Then they can urge the younger women...” — Titus 2:3-4

He goes on to describe qualities involving self-control, purity, kindness, love, faithfulness and godly conduct.

There is something sooo beautiful happening here.

God did not design women to walk out their faith completely alone.

Older women were supposed to teach younger women.

More mature women were supposed to help newer believers.

Women with experience were supposed to pour wisdom into women coming behind them.

Faith was meant to be passed down.

Life on life.

Woman to woman.

Generation to generation.

A Titus 2 Woman Is Reverent in the Way She Lives

Titus 2 begins by telling older women to be reverent in the way they live.

That word carries weight.

Reverence is about living with an awareness that your life belongs to God.

It's not simply acting “religious.”

It's not dressing a certain way on Sunday, knowing Christian vocabulary, or posting Bible verses online.

It's a life that HONORS God.

Your private life.

Your public life.

Your relationships.

Your conversations.

Your decisions.

Your habits.

Your character.

Everything.

A Titus 2 woman understands that following Jesus is not something she turns on and off depending on where she is.

Her relationship with God affects the way she LIVES.

That doesn't mean perfection.

None of us have arrived.

But there should be evidence that Jesus is changing us.

A Titus 2 Woman Understands That Character Matters

Sometimes we become so focused on calling that we forget CHARACTER.

We ask:

What is my purpose?

What is my ministry?

What is God calling me to build?

When will my opportunity come?

Meanwhile, God may be saying:

I am working on YOU.

Before God expands influence, He often develops character.

Because gifting can open doors that character is not mature enough to sustain.

Oof.

Titus 2 focuses heavily on character because God cares about WHO we are becoming.

A mature Christian woman doesn't only ask, What can I accomplish for God?

She also asks:

Am I becoming more like Jesus?

That's the goal.

Not simply platform.

Not visibility.

Not recognition.

Christlikeness.

A Titus 2 Woman Watches the Way She Speaks

Titus 2 specifically warns women against slander.

That means our words matter.

A LOT.

James tells us that the tongue has tremendous power. Proverbs repeatedly speaks about wise speech, gossip, slander and the power of words.

A spiritually mature woman cannot be careless with what comes out of her mouth.

That includes gossip disguised as concern.

“You didn't hear this from me, but we really need to pray for her because...”

And then comes the entire story.

Girlll.

That's gossip wearing a prayer shawl.

We have to check ourselves.

Do our conversations bring life?

Do we speak about people in ways we would speak if they were sitting beside us?

Do we repeat information that isn't ours to share?

Do our words heal or divide?

Proverbs 31:26 says:

“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

A Titus 2 woman learns when to speak, HOW to speak and sometimes when not to speak at all.

That's maturity.

A Titus 2 Woman Practices Self-Control

Self-control appears throughout the New Testament because maturity requires discipline.

Galatians 5 lists self-control as part of the fruit of the Spirit.

Titus 2 mentions it repeatedly.

Why?

Because following Jesus involves learning that every feeling does not require an action.

Every thought does not deserve agreement.

Every temptation does not deserve surrender.

Every emotion does not need to control your response.

You might FEEL like sending the message.

Maybe don't.

You might FEEL like saying exactly what you're thinking.

Pause.

You might FEEL like making a decision because you're lonely, angry, tired or impatient.

Bring it to God FIRST.

Self-control is not pretending emotions don't exist. It is refusing to let emotions become your master.

A mature woman learns how to pause, pray, seek wisdom and respond instead of simply reacting.

That takes growth.

And trust me, God gives us plentyyyy of opportunities to practice.

A Titus 2 Woman Teaches What Is Good

Titus 2 says mature women are to teach what is good.

Notice something important.

To teach what is good, we first have to KNOW what is good.

That means women of God need the WORD.

Not just inspirational quotes.

Not just sermons.

Not just devotionals.

Not just Christian podcasts.

Those things can be helpful, but they cannot replace personally knowing Scripture.

We need women who know how to open the Bible for themselves.

Women who know what God says.

Women who can recognize when something sounds spiritual but is not actually biblical.

Women who can encourage another woman without simply telling her what she wants to hear.

Sometimes biblical encouragement sounds like:

God is with you. Keep going.

And sometimes it sounds like:

I love you too much to tell you that what you're doing is okay.

Both can be love.

Truth without love can become harsh.

Love without truth can become enabling.

Jesus gives us BOTH.

Grace and truth.

A Titus 2 Woman Disciples Other Women

This might be the heart of the entire passage.

Titus 2 women pour into other women.

Christianity was never meant to be:

Jesus, me and nobody else.

We are part of the body of Christ.

We need community.

We need people who challenge us.

We need people who pray for us.

We need people who can see things in us that we may not see ourselves.

And younger or newer believers especially benefit from women who have already walked through some LIFE.

There are lessons you can learn from a book.

And there are lessons you learn through experience.

A woman who has walked faithfully with Jesus through marriage can help another woman preparing for marriage.

A woman who has survived heartbreak can encourage another woman whose heart feels shattered.

A woman who has raised children can encourage a new mom who feels like she has absolutely no idea what she's doing.

A woman who has learned boundaries can help another woman trapped in people pleasing.

A woman who has walked through singleness with God can speak life into another woman struggling in the wait.

A woman who has learned how to hear God's voice through Scripture can help another woman grow in discernment.

This is discipleship.

You take what God has taught you and you POUR.

You Don't Have to Be Perfect to Mentor Someone

This is important.

A lot of women hear “mentor” and immediately think:

I'm not qualified.

I don't know enough.

My life isn't perfect.

I still struggle.

Welcome to being human.

A Titus 2 woman is not a flawless woman.

She's a FAITHFUL woman.

There is a huge difference.

You do not need to have every area of your life figured out before you encourage another person.

You simply need humility about where you are.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:1:

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

Notice the direction.

The goal isn't:

Become exactly like me.

The goal is:

Let's follow Jesus together.

Healthy mentorship always points people toward Christ, not toward dependence on the mentor.

A Titus 2 Woman Is Still Teachable

You cannot disciple well if you believe you have nothing left to learn.

Spiritual maturity should make us MORE humble, not less.

The longer we walk with Jesus, the more we realize how much we need Him.

A Titus 2 woman may be teaching somebody behind her while simultaneously learning from somebody ahead of her.

I LOVE that picture.

You can have somebody pouring into you while you're pouring into somebody else.

That's how discipleship keeps moving.

There should never be a point where we say:

I've been following Jesus for 25 years, so nobody can tell me anything.

Nooo.

Stay teachable.

Stay curious.

Stay submitted to Scripture.

Stay willing to be corrected.

Stay willing to grow.

Proverbs 9:9 says:

“Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still...”

Wise people KEEP learning.

A Titus 2 Woman Encourages Younger Women

Biblical mentorship isn't supposed to feel like someone standing over you with a clipboard documenting everything you're doing wrong.

That's exhausting.

Healthy discipleship includes ENCOURAGEMENT.

Sometimes a younger woman doesn't need a lecture.

She needs someone to say:

You're going to make it through this.

God is still working.

I've been where you are.

Don't give up.

You're growing more than you realize.

Let's pray.

Think about how powerful it is when someone who has already walked through your season looks you in the eyes and says:

God is faithful.

There are truths you know intellectually that hit differently when they come from somebody who has LIVED them.

That's why testimony matters.

Revelation 12:11 speaks about believers overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

Your story can strengthen somebody else's faith.

Don't waste what God has taught you.

A Titus 2 Woman Loves Well

Titus 2 speaks specifically about teaching younger women how to love their husbands and children.

At first glance, we can read that and think:

Do women really need to be taught how to love?

Apparently, yes.

Because biblical love is deeper than emotion.

Sometimes love requires sacrifice.

Sometimes love requires patience.

Sometimes love requires forgiveness.

Sometimes love requires boundaries.

Sometimes love requires saying NO.

Sometimes love requires difficult conversations.

Sometimes love means serving when nobody applauds.

Sometimes love means choosing not to keep score.

1 Corinthians 13 reminds us that love is patient and kind, is not self-seeking, and keeps no record of wrongs.

That's a high standard.

We need the Holy Spirit.

Because loving people well is not always natural.

God teaches us.

And sometimes He uses other women to teach us too.

A Titus 2 Woman Values Her Home Without Making It Her Entire Identity

Titus 2 also speaks about women caring for their homes.

This verse has sometimes been treated as though biblical womanhood means a woman can only find purpose inside the home.

But Scripture gives us pictures of women serving God in many different ways.

Proverbs 31 describes a woman who manages her household, conducts business and purchases property.

Priscilla helped teach Apollos about the faith more accurately.

Lydia was a businesswoman whose home became an important gathering place for believers.

Deborah served as a judge.

Phoebe served the church.

Women followed Jesus, financially supported ministry and were among the earliest witnesses to the resurrection.

Biblical womanhood is not about fitting every woman into the exact same personality or assignment.

It's about honoring God in whatever He has entrusted to you.

For one woman, that season may revolve heavily around raising young children.

Another may be building a business.

Another may be leading ministry.

Another may be caring for aging parents.

Another may be single and serving God through opportunities she couldn't pursue in another season.

The assignment can look different.

The question remains:

Am I faithful with what God has placed in my hands?

A Titus 2 Woman Lives With Integrity

One of the most powerful forms of mentorship is simply watching someone live what they believe.

Anybody can give advice.

Integrity says:

My life agrees with my words.

Not perfectly.

But consistently.

If I'm teaching forgiveness, am I willing to forgive?

If I'm teaching purity, am I pursuing purity?

If I'm teaching generosity, do I give?

If I'm telling younger women to trust God, am I learning to trust Him when MY life gets uncomfortable?

This is what makes discipleship powerful.

People aren't only listening to what you say.

They're watching how you live.

Your response to disappointment teaches.

Your marriage teaches.

Your singleness teaches.

Your boundaries teach.

Your generosity teaches.

Your reaction when somebody hurts you teaches.

Your repentance teaches.

Sometimes your greatest lesson will not come from what you got right.

It will come from watching you humbly admit when you were WRONG.

A Titus 2 Woman Doesn't Compete With Other Women

Discipleship requires us to celebrate other women.

Competition says:

Her success threatens me.

Kingdom says:

Her success can glorify God.

Competition asks:

Why her?

Maturity asks:

How can I support her?

This is especially important between generations.

Older women should not resent younger women because their opportunities look different.

Younger women should not dismiss older women because culture has changed.

We NEED each other.

Younger women bring energy, fresh perspective and new opportunities.

Older women bring wisdom, experience and scars from battles they've already survived.

Put those together?

POWERFUL.

Imagine churches filled with women who weren't sizing each other up but strengthening each other.

Imagine women praying for one another instead of secretly competing.

Imagine women intentionally looking around and saying:

Who can I pour into?

That's Titus 2.

You May Already Have Something to Pour Into Someone Else

Sometimes we hear “older women teaching younger women” and assume mentoring begins when we're 65.

Not necessarily.

Age matters in the passage, but spiritual maturity also matters in practical discipleship.

If you're 30 and have faithfully followed Jesus through something a 20-year-old is currently walking through, you have something to share.

If you're 45, there may be a 30-year-old who desperately needs the wisdom God has built into you.

If you're 70, there are generations behind you who NEED your story.

And if you just started following Jesus?

Receive.

Learn.

Ask questions.

Find women who love God and whose lives produce fruit worth imitating.

Then one day, you will turn around and realize somebody is asking YOU for advice.

That's how discipleship works.

You receive.

You grow.

You pour.

Then they receive.

They grow.

They pour.

The Gospel keeps moving.

What Should You Look for in a Titus 2 Mentor?

Don't choose a mentor simply because someone is successful, popular or has the life you want.

Look at FRUIT.

Does she love Jesus?

Does she know Scripture?

Is she humble?

Does she demonstrate integrity?

Does she handle conflict biblically?

Does she speak well of others?

Can she admit when she is wrong?

Is her life producing the fruit of the Spirit?

Does being around her make you want to know GOD more?

That last question matters.

A healthy Christian mentor doesn't make you dependent on her.

She teaches you to depend more deeply on Jesus.

And remember, mentorship doesn't always have to be this extremely formal arrangement where somebody asks, “Will you officially become my mentor?”

Sometimes it starts with coffee.

A Bible study.

A phone call.

Serving together.

A prayer group.

Asking someone you respect:

Can I ask how you walked through this?

Relationships grow from there.

How Can I Become a Titus 2 Woman?

Start where you are.

You don't need a ministry title.

You don't need a microphone.

You don't need 10,000 followers.

You don't need to launch a mentorship program.

Become a woman who deeply knows Jesus.

Read Scripture.

Pray.

Practice what God teaches you.

Repent quickly.

Develop character.

Stay teachable.

Serve people.

Then PAY ATTENTION.

Who has God already placed around you?

A younger woman at church?

A coworker?

A sister?

A friend?

Someone in your Bible study?

A new believer?

Someone walking through a season you've already survived?

You don't have to walk up and announce:

“HELLO. I AM NOW YOUR TITUS 2 MENTOR.”

Please don't.

Just love people.

Ask questions.

Listen.

Pray.

Share wisdom when invited.

Open Scripture together.

Be available.

Let discipleship happen through relationship.

Titus 2 Mentorship Is About Making Disciples

Ultimately, Titus 2 is part of something much bigger.

Jesus gave His followers the Great Commission:

“Go and make disciples of all nations...” — Matthew 28:19

Disciples make disciples.

That's Christianity.

We receive the Gospel.

We grow in Christ.

Then we help somebody else follow Him.

And women's discipleship gives us a unique opportunity to speak into areas of life that other women understand deeply.

Relationships.

Marriage.

Singleness.

Motherhood.

Friendships.

Identity.

Body image.

Calling.

Career.

Boundaries.

Heartbreak.

Purity.

Faith.

Leadership.

Waiting.

We can walk through these things TOGETHER while continually pointing one another back to Jesus.

We were never meant to figure everything out alone.

What a Titus 2 Woman Is NOT

A Titus 2 woman is not a woman who has everything figured out.

She isn't perfect.

She isn't controlling.

She isn't someone who believes younger women should copy every decision she made.

She isn't somebody who gives unsolicited opinions about every detail of another person's life.

And she isn't spiritually superior because she has been following Jesus longer.

A Titus 2 woman is a servant.

She listens.

She teaches.

She encourages.

She models.

She prays.

She points.

Always toward JESUS.

Because mentorship is never about creating miniature versions of ourselves.

It's about helping women become more like Christ.

Women Need Women

There are things we can learn independently with God.

There are things pastors can teach us.

There are things books can teach us.

But there is something uniquely powerful about sitting across from another woman and hearing:

I've been there.

There is comfort in realizing someone else has wrestled with the same questions.

There is wisdom in hearing what she would do differently.

There is hope in seeing someone standing on the other side of a season you're currently trying to survive.

And there is incredible purpose in realizing that one day YOU may become that woman for somebody else.

Maybe some of your hardest seasons weren't only about you.

Maybe God will use what He taught you there to help another woman walk through the same valley without feeling alone.

2 Corinthians 1:4 says God comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others with the comfort we ourselves received from Him.

Read that again.

Sometimes God pours into you because eventually...

you are going to pour into somebody else.

Becoming a Titus 2 Woman Starts With Jesus

Maybe you're reading this thinking:

I want to become that kind of woman.

Good.

But don't start by searching for somebody to mentor.

Start with JESUS.

You cannot pour what isn't inside of you.

Let Him disciple YOU.

Sit in His Word.

Spend time in prayer.

Allow Him to correct your character.

Let Him heal insecurity.

Let Him confront pride.

Let Him teach you self-control.

Let Him change the way you speak.

Let Him teach you how to love people.

Let Him develop wisdom.

Let Him grow your faith.

Then when opportunities come to pour into others, you're not simply giving them your opinions.

You're giving them truth God has planted deeply inside of you.

That's the woman I want to be.

A woman whose faith has ROOTS.

A woman who isn't simply getting older but becoming WISER.

A woman who doesn't hoard everything God has taught her.

A woman who reaches back and helps another woman forward.

A woman who says:

Come walk with me as we follow Jesus.

That is a Titus 2 woman.

– Reflection Time –

  1. Is there a spiritually mature woman in your life whose faith and character you admire? What specifically can you learn from her?
  2. Are you currently allowing another woman to speak biblical wisdom, encouragement and correction into your life?
  3. What lessons has God taught you through your own life experiences that could help another woman?
  4. Is there a younger woman, newer believer or friend God may be inviting you to intentionally encourage?
  5. When you think about spiritual maturity, what area does God seem to be developing most in you right now: character, speech, self-control, wisdom, humility, love or faithfulness?
  6. Are you still teachable? How do you respond when someone lovingly corrects you?
  7. What would it look like for you to become a woman who both RECEIVES discipleship and GIVES it?

– Prayer –

Father, thank You for the women You have placed in my life and for the wisdom that can be passed from one generation to another. Help me become a woman whose life genuinely reflects Jesus, not simply through what I say but through the way I live.

Develop godly character in me. Teach me self-control, wisdom, humility, kindness and faithfulness. Guard my tongue and help my words bring life instead of division. Keep my heart teachable and willing to receive correction when I need it.

Lord, bring spiritually mature women into my life who can encourage me, challenge me and point me back to Your Word. Give me humility to learn from them.

And as You grow me, show me who I can pour into. Help me never waste the lessons You have taught me. Use my testimony, my experiences, my victories and even the places where I have failed to encourage another woman to keep following You.

I don't want to simply grow older. I want to grow wiser. I want my life to leave behind a legacy of faith.

Make me a woman who knows Your Word, walks closely with You and helps other women do the same.

May everything I teach, everything I say and everything I model ultimately point back to Jesus.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Do not grow weary. Reap a harvest. Do not give up.  | 6.9.26

Paul writes to the church of Galatia, which is modern-day Turkey, addressing the biblical principle of sowing and reaping.

Sowing and Reaping

GALATIANS 6:8

“The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the spirit, from the Sprit will reap eternal life.”

“The one who sows to please his flesh,” — Our actions/desires are driven by sinful human desires and self-indulgence. Biblically, “flesh” symbolizes sinful nature of humanity, which is a cause & effect principle in our spiritual lives.

“from the flesh will reap destruction” — ultimate outcome of living according to the flesh, leads to spiritual ruin and separation from God. Romans 6:23 “where wages of sin is death”. This is when our actions are contrary to God’s will, leading to judgment.

“but the one who sows to please the spirit” — Our actions & decisions are aligned with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Sowing to please the Spirit involves living a life characterized by the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23). This reflects a life of obedience and submission to God’s will, emphasizing spiritual growth and maturity. Romans 8:14 says, “those led by the spirit are called children of God.”

“from the spirit will reap eternal life” — is the ultimate reward for living according to the Spirit; a relationship with God transcends physical death. Eternal life is presented as a gift from God through faith.

GALATIANS 6:9

“Let us not grow weary in well-doing for in due time, we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”

“let us now grow weary in well-doing” — This encourages perseverance in doing good. “Weary” in Greek is becoming exhausted or losing heart. Paul addresses challenges of reverting back to old ways. The call to well-doing aligns with fruit of the Spirit, reflecting a life transformed by faith.

“for in due time”  — GOD’S PERFECT TIMING — not on human’s timeline or expectations. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “there is a time or season for every purpose under heaven. This reassures us that our efforts as believers are not in vain ! :’)

“we will reap a harvest” — This is the natural law of sowing and reaping. Harvest represents the blessings and rewards that come from faithful service and obedience to God. It alludes the ultimate harvest at the end of age, where the righteous will be gathered into God’s Kingdom.

“if we do not give up” — This refers to the necessity of endurance. A Christian’s life is depicted as a race. We persevere to cross the finish line by overcoming the spiritual warfare. James 1:2 promises, “a crown of life to those who persevere under trial” — not by our strength, but through the power of AND reliance on the Holy Spirit.

GALATIANS 6:10

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.”

“As we have opportunity,” — Opportunity is continual practice in doing good. “Kairos” in greek means specific, appointed time. This tells us to be attentive and responsive, especially applying to our stewardship. We are called to make the most of every opportunity!

“Let us do good,” — Jesus’ ethical teachings emphasizes love and service to others. They are not simply about moral behavior, but rooted in transformational power of the Holy Spirit.

“To everyone,” —  This means beyond the church (( ladi dadi, everybody )), not just within the four walls! You know, The Great Commission, from Matthew 28:19-20 & the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 1-:25-37. These verses teaches us love for our neighbor, regardless of social and ethnic backgrounds.

“and especially to family of faith,” — This is a special emphasis on caring for fellow Christians. “Family of faith” importance of unity and mutual support within the body of Christ.

– Reflection Time –

  1. Be honest: in this season, where are you sowing to the flesh and where are you sowing to the Spirit? What's the fruit you're already seeing from each?
  2. Where have you grown weary lately — in ministry, prayer, or serving others — and been tempted to quit right before the harvest?
  3. Where in your life are you struggling to trust God's timing instead of your own?
  4. What would it look like to keep sowing faithfully while you wait?
  5. Paul singles out "the family of faith" for special care. Who in your church or spiritual community has God put in front of you to love well right now — and is there someone outside it you've been avoiding reaching?

– Prayer –

Father, thank You for the truth of Your Word — that what we sow, we will reap. Forgive us for the times we've sown to please our flesh and called it harmless. Teach us to sow to the Spirit instead, in our thoughts, our words, and our daily choices. Lord, when we grow weary in doing good, remind us that the harvest is coming in Your perfect timing, and that our labor for You is never in vain. Give us eyes to see the opportunities You place before us — to do good to everyone, and especially to those in the family of faith. Root us deeply in community, and stir in us a love that reaches beyond our own walls. Strengthen us to persevere, not by our own strength, but by the power of Your Holy Spirit at work in us. In Jesus' name, amen.

Know WHO & WHOSE you are in Christ, because everything flows from identity | 9.9.26

The Bible is filled with verses for women who need to be reminded of who they are, where their strength comes from, and Who holds their future. Whether you are searching for encouragement, wisdom, peace, courage, purpose, or reassurance in a difficult season, God's Word speaks directly into the places where fear, insecurity, confusion, and weariness try to settle.

Sometimes we just need to be REMINDED. Reminded that God sees us, that God has not forgotten us, and that our value isn't determined by a relationship, career, appearance, accomplishment or somebody else's opinion. We need to remember that we are allowed to rest, that we can be strong without having everything figured out, and most importantly, that our identity begins with HIM.

Girlll, there are going to be seasons where your emotions say one thing and God's Word says something completely different.

Your feelings may say, I'm behind. God says He makes everything beautiful in its time.

Fear may say, I can't handle this. God says His strength is made perfect in weakness.

Rejection may say, I'm unwanted. God says you are chosen in Christ.

Anxiety may say, Everything is falling apart. God says He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him.

THIS is why we go back to Scripture again and again and again. Because we don't build our lives on whatever we happen to feel that morning. We build them on T R U T H.

So whether you're walking through an exciting new season or barely holding it together right now, here are Bible verses for women to help anchor your identity, strengthen your faith, give you courage, bring you peace and remind you of God's purpose over your life.

Bible Verses for Women About Identity

Before we talk about being strong, courageous, successful, wise or purposeful, we need to know WHO we are. Because everything flows from identity.

When you don't know who you are, you start asking other people and things to tell you. Relationships tell you. Social media tells you. Your appearance, accomplishments and failures tell you. Culture certainly has a LOT to say.

But none of those things created you.

God did.

You Are Made in God's Image

“God created mankind in his own image...” — Genesis 1:27

Your worth did not begin when somebody noticed you, asked you out, married you or gave you an opportunity. It did not begin when you became successful, lost weight, gained confidence, started a business or finally felt like you had your life together.

Your value existed BEFORE all of that because you were created in God's image.

Period.

That means your worth is intrinsic. It was given by God, not earned from people. When we allow somebody else to determine our value, we're giving a human being authority our Creator never gave them.

You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:14 says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Read that again.

You are not God's accident. He was INTENTIONAL. The parts of yourself you constantly compare to somebody else? God knew exactly what He was doing when He created you.

Comparison makes us look at another person's design and question the Designer.

Be inspired by other women. Celebrate them, learn from them and cheer them onnnn. But do not use somebody else's beauty, calling, marriage, career, personality, platform or gifts as evidence that something is missing in YOU.

God is creative enough to write different stories.

You Are Chosen in Christ

Ephesians 1:4 tells believers that God chose us in Christ.

Chosen.

That word means sooo much when you have experienced rejection. Maybe somebody didn't choose you. Maybe a friendship ended, someone walked away or you were overlooked for the opportunity you prayed for. Maybe you have spent years feeling like everybody gets picked except you.

People may reject you, but God's acceptance of you in Christ remains. Human rejection does not rewrite heavenly identity.

And whew, that changes how we live. When you know who chose you, you don't have to spend your entire life convincing everybody else to.

You Are a Child of God

John 1:12 tells us that those who receive Christ are given the right to become children of God. Romans 8 also speaks of the Spirit of adoption through whom we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Not acquaintances. Not random followers.

Children.

You BELONG.

And belonging changes everything. When you truly know you belong to God, you stop desperately trying to belong everywhere else.

You don't have to compromise your convictions just to keep somebody. You don't have to become a different person to be accepted, and you don't have to beg people for a seat at a table God never assigned you to.

You have a Father.

Bible Verses for Women About Strength

Biblical strength is interesting because it looks different from the world's version. The world tells us strength means never struggling, never crying, never needing help, always having an answer and always looking put together.

But Scripture repeatedly connects strength with DEPENDENCE on God.

You don't become strong by pretending you don't need Him.

You become strong because you KNOW you do.

“She Is Clothed With Strength and Dignity”

Proverbs 31:25 says:

“She is clothed with strength and dignity...”

I LOVE this verse.

But strength and dignity aren't simply personality traits. Look at the entire Proverbs 31 woman. She fears the Lord, works diligently, serves, plans, gives, cares for her household and speaks with wisdom.

Her strength flows from the foundation of her life: God.

The goal isn't to become some picture-perfect “Proverbs 31 woman” who does 782 things before breakfast and somehow never gets tired. The foundation is much simpler.

Fear the Lord. Love Him. Honor Him. Allow everything else to flow from there.

God's Strength Is Made Perfect in Weakness

Sometimes I think we hear, “God gives you strength,” and interpret it as, God will eventually make me so strong that I won't need Him anymore.

NOPE.

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Your weakness creates space for God's strength.

There are seasons where your greatest act of faith may simply be saying, God, I cannot do this without You.

That prayer is not weakness.

That's wisdom.

You Can Do All Things Through Christ

Philippians 4:13 is one of the most quoted verses in the Bible:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

But this isn't necessarily saying, I can accomplish every random dream because Jesus helps me. Paul was talking about learning contentment through plenty AND lack, through highs and lows, abundance and need, good seasons and painful ones.

In other words, Christ can strengthen you through whatever season He allows you to walk through.

That hits different.

Bible Verses for Women About Courage

Courage does not mean you never feel afraid. Courage means fear doesn't get the final decision.

Some of the bravest women in Scripture experienced situations that could have TERRIFIED them. Esther approached a king knowing her life could be at risk. Ruth walked into an unfamiliar future. Mary received a calling that completely interrupted the life she probably thought she was going to have. Deborah stepped into leadership, and Rahab acted in faith despite her past.

These women weren't courageous because life was easy.

Their faith moved them forward.

Be Strong and Courageous

Joshua 1:9 says:

“Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Notice what courage is connected to.

God's presence.

The promise isn't: Be courageous because nothing difficult will happen.

It's: Be courageous because GOD is with you.

That's different.

Our confidence is not found in knowing exactly what will happen next. Our confidence comes from knowing Who goes with us.

God Has Not Given You a Spirit of Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.

Fear has a way of making everything look bigger: the conversation, the decision, the move, the breakup, the job, the calling, the future.

Fear keeps asking:

What if...?

Faith asks:

What has God said?

There are decisions where wisdom tells us to wait. But there are also moments where FEAR disguises itself as wisdom.

Discern the difference.

Don't call disobedience “being cautious” when God has already told you to move.

Whew.

Bible Verses for Women About Wisdom

We need wisdommmm.

Not just information.

We live in a time where you can ask Google, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, AI, friends, family and strangers what you should do. Everybody has an opinion.

But information is not the same thing as WISDOM.

Godly wisdom begins with God.

Ask God for Wisdom

James 1:5 tells us that if anyone lacks wisdom, we should ask God.

I love how simple that is.

Confused? ASK.

Uncertain about a relationship? ASK.

Considering a career change? ASK.

Trying to figure out what God is doing? ASK.

You do not have to pretend to know everything. God is not intimidated by your questions.

Bring them to Him.

Trust in the Lord, Not Your Own Understanding

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding.

This verse is beautiful until God's direction stops making sense.

It's easy to trust God when the timeline makes sense, the relationship makes sense, the opportunity makes sense, the finances make sense and the doors are opening exactly how you hoped.

But what about when you KNOW God told you something and the situation looks nothing like what you expected?

That's where trust gets tested.

God sees what you cannot see. You have one page.

He has the entire BOOK.

Wisdom Is More Valuable Than Riches

Proverbs repeatedly describes wisdom as more valuable than silver, gold and precious jewels.

Why?

Because money without wisdom disappears. Opportunity without wisdom can become destruction. Relationships without wisdom can become bondage. Influence without wisdom can become pride.

Ask God to make you W I S E, not simply impressive.

Bible Verses for Women About Peace

Peace is something sooo many of us crave.

Not merely silence. Not merely an empty schedule. Not merely a vacation. Although I wouldn't complain.

REAL peace.

The kind where everything around you might not be resolved yet, but something inside you knows:

God has me.

The Peace of God Guards Your Heart and Mind

Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious about anything but to bring everything to God through prayer.

Then Scripture says:

“The peace of God... will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Notice the process. Anxiety arises, so we PRAY. We petition. We give thanks. And God's peace GUARDS.

That word “guard” is powerful because God's peace is not passive. It stands watch over your heart and mind.

God Keeps in Perfect Peace Those Who Trust Him

Isaiah 26:3 says God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him because they trust Him.

There is a connection between FOCUS, TRUST and PEACE.

Sometimes anxiety grows because our focus has been locked onto the problem for 14 hours straight. We rehearse it, Google it, imagine every possible outcome, talk about it and replay it. Then somehow we wonder why we don't feel peaceful.

Turn your eyes back to GOD.

The problem may still exist, but it no longer occupies the throne of your attention.

Jesus Gives a Different Kind of Peace

Jesus says in John 14:27:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”

Then He makes an important distinction. His peace is NOT like the world's peace.

The world's peace requires everything to go right. God's peace can exist while everything is still being figured out.

That means you can have peace during uncertainty, while waiting, during change, while grieving and when you do not know what happens next.

Why?

Because biblical peace isn't ultimately rooted in circumstances.

It's rooted in CHRIST.

Bible Verses for Women About Purpose and Calling

If you've ever prayed, God, what am I supposed to be doing with my life?

Welcome to the clubbbb.

Purpose is one of the biggest questions we wrestle with, especially when we look around and everybody else seems to be moving ahead.

Someone is getting married. Someone started the company. Someone bought the house. Someone launched the ministry. Someone had the baby. Someone got promoted.

Meanwhile you're like:

“Lord...helloooo?”

But calling isn't a competition.

You Were Created for Good Works

Ephesians 2:10 says:

“We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works...”

You are God's workmanship, and there are good works God prepared for you.

Purpose isn't something you have to manufacture out of thin air. It begins with relationship with God and obedience to what He places before you.

Sometimes we want the BIG calling while ignoring today's assignment.

We want the microphone. God says forgive that person.

We want the business. God says develop discipline.

We want ministry. God says serve where nobody sees you.

We want the platform. God says deal with your character.

The hidden season IS part of your calling.

God Will Finish What He Started

Philippians 1:6 tells us that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion.

This is one of my favorite reminders when life feels unfinished because sometimes the middle of the story looks MESSY.

You're not where you used to be, but you're also not where you're going.

Welcome to transformation.

God is working.

Keep surrendering. Keep obeying. Keep moving.

He hasn't abandoned the project.

YOU are the project.

God's Purpose Prevails

Proverbs 19:21 says:

“Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.”

Plans are good. Goals are good. Vision boards are cute. Calendars are helpful, and strategies are wise.

But surrender ALL of it.

Because sometimes the greatest blessing God gives you is not allowing your plan to work.

Oof.

Some closed doors are protection. Some delays are preparation. Some redirections are answers to prayers you don't even realize He is answering.

Trust His purpose more than your plan.

Bible Verses for Women in a Season of Waiting

Waiting will TEST you.

Waiting for marriage, healing, clarity, the business to grow, a child, an opportunity, reconciliation or simply an answer.

Waiting on God can feel like NOTHING is happening.

But waiting with God is never wasted.

Those Who Wait on the Lord Renew Their Strength

Isaiah 40:31 says:

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength...”

Waiting doesn't necessarily mean sitting around doing nothing. Biblical waiting involves hope, expectation and trust.

You continue obeying while trusting God with what you cannot control.

And sometimes the person God transforms most while you're waiting...

is YOU.

There Is a Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.

Your life has seasons.

Don't despise winter because it doesn't look like spring. Roots grow where nobody sees them.

There are things God develops in hidden seasons that could never have survived if He had given you visibility too early.

Let God develop the ROOT before asking Him for FRUIT.

Bible Verses for Women Who Feel Overwhelmed

There are days when life is simply...

A LOT.

Responsibilities, work, family, ministry, relationships, finances, health, emails, texts and deadlines all seem to pile on top of each other.

Then somebody asks, “How are you doing?”

And you're like:

“Great!”

Meanwhile internally:

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

God sees that too.

Cast Your Cares on Him

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our anxieties on God because He cares for us.

CAST.

Don't delicately place it down and pick it back up twenty minutes later.

Give it to Him.

Some of us pray, “God, I surrender this relationship,” and then three hours later we're FBI investigators checking Instagram.

Surrender means releasing our need to control the outcome.

He cares for you.

Let Him carry what you were never designed to hold.

Come to Jesus and Rest

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

COME.

Not achieve. Not perform. Not prove.

Come.

Christianity is not an invitation to exhaust yourself FOR God. It's an invitation to walk WITH God.

There are seasons where the most spiritual thing you can do might actually be rest.

Bible Verses for Women Struggling With Insecurity

Insecurity constantly asks, How do I compare?

Am I pretty enough? Successful enough? Spiritual enough? Interesting enough? Young enough? Accomplished enough? Loved enough?

But the better question is:

Am I becoming who GOD created me to be?

People Look at the Outside, God Looks at the Heart

1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that people look at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Our culture can become obsessed with presentation: appearance, brands, followers, aesthetics and success.

But God searches HEARTS.

You can look amazing online and be spiritually empty. You can have thousands applauding you while privately disobeying God.

What God is doing IN you matters more than the image everybody sees OF you.

Protect your heart.

You Are God's Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10 calls us God's workmanship.

You don't insult a masterpiece because it doesn't look like ANOTHER masterpiece.

Stop demanding that your story resemble hers.

Her calling requires her story.

Your calling requires yours.

Bible Verses for Women Going Through Heartbreak

Heartbreak can make everything feel different. The mornings feel different. The songs feel different. The memories hit differently, and the future you imagined suddenly looks unfamiliar.

Whether it came from a breakup, betrayal, friendship loss, divorce, disappointment or grief, God does not dismiss a broken heart.

God Is Close to the Brokenhearted

Psalm 34:18 says:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted...”

C L O S E.

Sometimes heartbreak makes God feel far away, but Scripture says the opposite.

He draws near.

Cry. Pray. Journal. Talk. Grieve. Heal.

But don't run FROM God in your pain.

Run TO Him.

God Heals the Brokenhearted

Psalm 147:3 says:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Healing doesn't always mean forgetting. Healing means the wound no longer controls your life.

God can take what once made you cry every night and turn it into a testimony that helps somebody else breathe again.

Give Him time. Give Him access.

Let Him heal deeply, not just enough for you to function again.

To the ROOT.

Bible Verses for Women in Singleness

Singleness can be beautiful, and it can also be hard.

Both can be true.

You can love God deeply and still desire marriage. You can be content and still have desires. You can enjoy your life and occasionally wonder when your person is coming.

The goal is not pretending you don't want something.

The goal is refusing to make the thing you want your GOD.

Delight Yourself in the Lord

Psalm 37:4 says:

“Delight yourself also in the Lord...”

Sometimes this verse is treated like, Love Jesus really hard and He'll finally send your husband.

LOL.

God is not a vending machine.

Delighting in God transforms our desires. The more we know Him, the more we begin wanting what HE wants.

That's safer than simply getting everything we originally thought we wanted.

Seek First the Kingdom of God

Matthew 6:33 tells us:

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness...”

First.

Not after the relationship. Not once life feels settled. Not once you're married.

NOW.

Don't put purpose on pause while waiting for a spouse. There are assignments God has for you TODAY.

Live. Serve. Travel. Create. Build. Grow. Heal. Learn. Give. Love people.

Become deeply rooted in Christ.

Your life is happening right now.

Bible Verses for Women About God's Love

We cannot talk about identity, strength, courage or purpose without talking about LOVE.

Because everything begins there.

1 John 4:19 says:

“We love because he first loved us.”

HE loved FIRST.

Before you performed. Before you achieved. Before you got everything right.

God initiated.

Nothing Can Separate You From God's Love

Romans 8 tells us that neither death nor life, present nor future, height nor depth nor anything else in creation can separate believers from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Sit with that.

Nothing.

When life changes, God's love remains. When people change, God's love remains. When you feel spiritually strong, God's love remains. When you're struggling, God's love remains.

His character is not fluctuating with your emotions.

Bible Verses for Women to Remember Every Day

If you need a shorter list to save, journal, screenshot or return to throughout the week, remember these truths:

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14

I am chosen in Christ.
Ephesians 1:4

I am a child of God through Christ.
John 1:12

I am God's workmanship.
Ephesians 2:10

God gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13

His grace is sufficient in my weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9

God is with me wherever I go.
Joshua 1:9

I can ask God for wisdom.
James 1:5

I can trust God when I do not understand.
Proverbs 3:5-6

God's peace can guard my heart and mind.
Philippians 4:6-7

God is close when my heart is broken.
Psalm 34:18

I can give my worries to God.
1 Peter 5:7

God has prepared good works for me.
Ephesians 2:10

God will complete the work He began in me.
Philippians 1:6

God's purpose will prevail.
Proverbs 19:21

Read them. Write them. Pray them. MEMORIZE them.

Because there will be moments when you won't have time to pull out a devotional, search Google or call somebody.

You need Truth already planted in you.

Woman of God, Remember Who You Are

You are going to experience different seasons. Some will make sense and some won't. Some prayers will be answered exactly how you hoped, while others may be answered completely differently.

There will be mountaintops and valleys. Beginnings and endings. Waiting and celebrating. Grieving, building and resting.

But through every season, God remains GOD.

Woman of God, you are not called to have everything figured out.

You are called to follow Jesus.

One step. Then another. Then another.

You don't need tomorrow's grace today. You need today's. You don't need God's entire plan. You need enough faith to obey the part He has revealed.

And you don't need everyone to understand your calling.

You need God.

So when insecurity speaks, return to Scripture. When fear rises, return to Scripture. When you don't know what to do, return to Scripture. When you're heartbroken or waiting on something you have prayed for, return to Scripture.

And when everything is going AMAZING and you feel like you're on top of the world?

Still return to Scripture.

Because our need for God isn't only revealed in hard seasons.

We need Him in EVERY season.

Your identity is in Christ. Your strength comes from Christ. Your peace is found in Christ. Your wisdom comes from God, and your calling belongs to God.

And your future?

It's safest in His hands.

– Reflection Time –

  1. Which area do you need God's Word to speak into most right now: identity, strength, courage, wisdom, peace or purpose?
  2. Have you been allowing a person, relationship, accomplishment or insecurity to determine your worth instead of God?
  3. What fear has been influencing your decisions lately, and what does Scripture say in response to it?
  4. What are you carrying today that God is asking you to surrender to Him?
  5. Are you comparing your current season to another woman's story?
  6. Choose one Bible verse from this article and commit it to memory this week.

– Prayer –

Father, thank You for Your Word and for speaking Truth over every area of my life. Thank You that my identity is not determined by this world, by my accomplishments, my appearance, my relationship status, my failures or the opinions of people. I belong to You.

Teach me to trust You in every season. Help me stop comparing my timeline, calling and story to anyone else's. Give me the faith to obey what You are asking of me today, even when I cannot see what You are doing tomorrow.

Heal every place in me that is still looking to people for what can only be found in You. Renew my mind with Your Word. Strengthen my faith. Guard my heart. Order my steps.

When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. When I am afraid, give me courage to move forward knowing You are with me. When I am confused, give me wisdom. When anxiety rises, guard my heart and mind with Your peace.

Above every accomplishment, relationship, opportunity or dream, I want YOU.

Make me a woman who knows Your Word, hears Your voice, walks in wisdom, loves people well and courageously follows wherever You lead.

My identity is in You. My strength comes from You. My peace comes from You. My life belongs to You.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

You are who God says you are | 8.31.26

When you ask, “What does God say about me?” the answer is found in Scripture, not in feelings, labels or opinions of others. God speaks truth about your identity, worth, purpose, forgiveness and belonging. This guide walks through biblical truths that help replace insecurity with what God has already said.

Maybe you have found yourself wondering:

Am I enough?

Does God really love me?

Do I have a purpose?

Am I still valuable after everything I have done?

What if people don't see anything special in me?

These are not small questions. The way we answer them affects the way we LIVE.

If I believe I am unwanted, I may spend my life begging people to choose me.

If I believe I am not enough, I may exhaust myself trying to prove my worth.

If I believe my mistakes define me, I may continue living under guilt Jesus already paid to remove.

But when I know what GOD says about me, something shifts.

My feelings no longer get the final say.

People's opinions no longer get the final say.

My past does not get the final say.

G O D does.

And His Word is T R U T H.

So, what does God say about you?

Let's goo ((:

God Says You Are Made in His Image

Before you succeeded at anything or impressed anybody, you were already created with value.

Why?

Because you were created in the image of God.

“So God created mankind in his own image...” — Genesis 1:27

Your worth does not begin with what you can DO.

It begins with WHO made you.

Think about that for a second.

The God who created galaxies, oceans, mountains, stars, sunsets, animals and every beautiful thing we see decided to make mankind uniquely in His image.

You reflect something of your Creator.

Your value, therefore, cannot be determined by a relationship status, career title, follower count, bank account, appearance or someone else's approval of you.

You have worth because God Himself gave you worth.

Period.

When we allow people to determine our value, we hand human beings authority they were never supposed to have.

People's opinions change.

God's Word does not.

God Says You Are Known

One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is that God does not simply know about you.

He knows you.

Psalm 139 describes a God who knows when we sit and when we rise. He understands our thoughts and knows our ways.

David says:

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know my anxious thoughts.” — Psalm 139:1

You are fully known.

The things nobody else understands about you?

He knows.

The prayers you cannot figure out how to put into words?

He knows.

The dreams you are afraid to tell people about?

He knows.

The wounds you have carried quietly?

He knows.

The parts of your story you wish you could rewrite?

He knows those too.

And yet God still invites you close.

There is something incredibly healing about realizing you do not have to perform before God.

You don't have to make yourself more attractive, spiritual or impressive before coming into His presence.

Come as you are and allow Him to transform you into who He created you to be.

God Says You Are Loved

We throw the word love around all the time.

I love this restaurant.

I love that outfit.

I love this coffee.

I LOVEEE this song.

But God's love is different.

His love is not merely an emotion, it was demonstrated through sacrifice.

Romans 5:8 tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus did not wait until you cleaned yourself up.

He did not wait until you had a perfect prayer life.

He did not wait until you stopped struggling.

He came toward humanity while humanity was still broken.

THAT is love.

And one of the most well-known verses in Scripture reminds us:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son...” — John 3:16

The cross settles the question of whether God loves you.

When the enemy whispers, God could never love somebody like you, look at Jesus.

When shame says, You have gone too far, look at Jesus.

When rejection says, Nobody wants you, look at Jesus.

You are not trying to convince God to love you.

He loved first.

God Says You Can Become His Child

One of the most beautiful identity statements in Scripture is that through faith in Jesus, we are welcomed into God's family.

John writes:

“To all who did receive him... he gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12

When you place your faith in Christ, God is not merely some distant Creator somewhere in the sky.

He becomes Father.

You belong to Him.

This means Christianity is not simply about following a list of religious rules.

It is RELATIONSHIP.

You are invited into intimacy with the God who created you.

Romans 8 tells believers that we have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Adoption. Family. Belonging.

No longer spiritually orphaned.

No longer searching everywhere for somebody to give you an identity God has already offered you.

You belong to the KING.

God Says You Are Chosen in Christ

One of my favorite truths in Scripture is that God's pursuit came before ours.

Jesus said:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you...” — John 15:16

That gets me every time. 🥹

We sometimes tell our testimony as if one random Tuesday we became extremely wise and finally decided to pursue God.

Meanwhile, God had been pursuing us the entire time.

Calling.

Convicting.

Drawing.

Protecting.

Revealing Himself.

Jesus tells His disciples that He chose and appointed them to bear fruit.

God doesn't just save us FROM something.

He saves us FOR something.

Your life now gets to produce fruit that points people back to Him ! Hallelujah or Aleluchaaa – praise the Lorrrd.

Ephesians 1 also tells believers that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Your identity is not something you have to manufacture.

It is something you receive by being united with Jesus.

God Says You Are Forgiven

Maybe this is the truth you need today.

You are not your worst mistake.

You are not your past relationship.

You are not what you did ten years ago.

You are not the sin you repented of.

You are not the season where you walked away from God.

When we repent and place our faith in Jesus, Scripture tells us:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us...” — 1 John 1:9

Psalm 103 gives us this beautiful picture:

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” — Psalm 103:12

E A S T from W E S T.

Gone.

This does not mean sin is insignificant.

Jesus paid a high price for our sin.

But because He paid that price, we do not have to continue punishing ourselves for something Christ has forgiven.

Sometimes God forgives us before we are willing to forgive ourselves.

We continue replaying something He has already told us to release.

Receive His grace.

Repent where repentance is needed.

Make things right where God leads you to.

Then WALK in freedom.

God Says There Is No Condemnation for You in Christ

Conviction and condemnation are NOT the same thing.

Conviction says:

This needs to change. Come back to God.

Condemnation says:

You are disgusting. God does not want you. Hide from Him.

One pulls you toward Jesus.

The other tries to make you run away.

Romans 8:1 says:

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

No condemnation.

Does God correct us?

Absolutely.

Does God discipline His children?

Ohh, yess.

But His correction comes from the heart of a loving Father who is transforming us into the likeness of Jesus.

God does not expose something in you simply to shame you.

He exposes so He can H E A L.

He reveals so He can restore.

He puts His finger on things because He loves you too much to leave you bound by them.

God Says You Are a New Creation

Maybe people still remember the old you.

Maybe YOU still remember the old you.

But God says:

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come...” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

NEW. Nuevecito.

Not renovated.

Not slightly improved.

N E W.

When you surrender your life to Jesus, something essentially changes.

You have a new identity.

New desires begin growing.

New convictions begin forming.

Your relationship with sin changes.

Your relationship with God changes.

Does that mean you instantly become perfect?

Nooo, lol.

Sanctification is a process.

God continually works in us, teaching us how to surrender our thoughts, habits, relationships, desires and decisions to Him.

But you are no longer who you once were.

Stop constantly introducing yourself by your old identity when Jesus has given you a new one.

God Says Your Mind Can Be Renewed

Our biggest identity battles often happen right between our ears.

The minddd.

This is why Scripture repeatedly addresses our thoughts.

Romans 12:2 says:

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Paul also tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to "take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ."

E v e r y thought.

Not every thought that enters your brain deserves permission to unpack its bags and move in.

Some thoughts need to be E V ii C T E D immediately.😅

I'm worthless.

Does that agree with Scripture?

NOPE.

Nobody will ever love me.

Does that agree with Scripture?

No.

God has forgotten me.

No.

My life has no purpose.

Absolutely not.

This is why knowing Scripture is so important.

You cannot effectively confront lies if you do not know Truth.

When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus repeatedly responded:

“It is written...”

Word against lie.

Truth against deception.

Light against darkness.

The Word of God is called the Sword of the Spirit in Ephesians 6.

PICK UP YOUR SWORD & USE IT.

God Says You Are His Workmanship

You were not accidentally thrown together.

Ephesians 2:10 says:

“For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works...”

Some translations use the word workmanship.

The Greek word carries the idea of something made or crafted.

A masterpiece.

God created you intentionally.

Your personality.

Your abilities.

Your story.

Your experiences.

Your opportunities.

Even the places where He has brought redemption from pain can become part of how He ministers through you.

That does not mean everything that happened to you was God's desire.

We live in a broken world where people make sinful choices and painful things happen.

But God is such a powerful Redeemer that He can take something the enemy intended for destruction and use your testimony to bring somebody else into freedom.🥲

DO NOT waste your story.

God Says Your Life Has Purpose

Purpose has become such a buzzword.

Find your purpose.

Live your purpose.

Discover your calling.

But biblical purpose begins somewhere very different:

God.

Your ultimate purpose is not to build your dream life.

Your ultimate purpose is to know God, glorify Him, become more like Jesus and participate in what He is doing in the world.

Then within that BIG purpose, He gives each of us assignments.

Careers.

Ministries.

Families.

Businesses.

Creative gifts.

Relationships.

Places to serve.

People to disciple.

Opportunities to be generous.

Ephesians 2:10 says God prepared good works beforehand for us to walk in.

Philippians 1:6 also reminds us that:

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion...”

God is working.

Even when you cannot see the entire blueprint.

We sometimes want God to hand us a 30-page PDF explaining the next fifteen years. 😂

Meanwhile, He gives us enough light for today's obedience.

Follow Him THERE.

Do what He told you TODAY.

Trust Him with tomorrow.

God Says You Are Called to Bear Fruit

Jesus did not save us so we could simply attend church once a week, sing three songs, listen to a sermon and continue living exactly like everybody else.

We are disciples.

Jesus says in John 15 that when we "remain in Him, we bear much fruit."

Fruit looks like becoming more like Jesus.

Love.

Joy.

Peace.

Patience.

Kindness.

Goodness.

Faithfulness.

Gentleness.

Self-control.

It also looks like letting our lives point others to Jesus.

You have influence somewhere.

Maybe on thousands.

Maybe on ten.

Maybe on three.

Maybe right now your greatest ministry is inside your home.

Do not despise where God has planted you.

Bear fruit exactly where God's placed you.

God Says You Are Never Alone

There are seasons where knowing this becomes deeply personal.

People leave.

Friendships change.

Relationships end.

Children grow.

Jobs change.

Church communities change.

Life changes.

God does not.

Jesus promised His disciples:

“I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20

"Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever." –– Hebrews 13:8

Not occasionally.

Always.

God is with you in the waiting.

God is with you in singleness.

God is with you in marriage.

God is with you in grief.

God is with you when prayers seem unanswered.

God is with you when everything is changing.

God is with you when you feel spiritually on FIRE.

And He is still God when you wake up feeling spiritually dry.

Our awareness of His presence may change.

His faithfulness does not.

What Does God Say About Me When I Feel Like I Am Not Enough?

This is one of the deepest questions behind the question.

When someone asks, “What does God say about me?” sometimes what they really mean is:

Please tell me I matter.

And you do.

But here is something even better than simply repeating, “You are enough.”

Christianity gives us a stronger truth.

Christ is enough.

You do not have to carry the exhausting pressure of being everything.

You will make mistakes.

You will have weaknesses.

You will need grace.

You will need help.

You will need forgiveness.

You were never created to be your own Savior.

Paul begged God to remove a weakness from his life, and the Lord told him:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Your weakness does not disqualify you from being used by God.

Sometimes it becomes the very place where His strength is displayed.

What God Says About You Matters More Than What People Say About You

I wish we could underline this about 29,3847 times.

People can speak words over us that stick.

You're too much.

You're not smart enough.

You're never going to change.

Nobody will want you.

You're difficult.

You're a failure.

Sometimes those words came from people we desperately wanted affirmation from.

And because we valued the person, we accidentally gave their words authority.

But their opinion does not outrank God's Word.

I had to learn this myself.

I am not bound by what people who have hurt me have said about me.

Neither are you.

Forgive them.

Release them.

Then stop carrying their words like they are Scripture.

They are not.

What has GOD said?

That is what we build our identity upon.

Your Identity Is Found in Christ

Ultimately, the answer to “What does God say about me?” is not supposed to lead us into self-obsession.

It leads us to JESUS.

Because the greatest thing about you is not actually you.

It is Christ in you.

Paul writes:

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20

Christian identity is not:

Let me discover how amazing I am.

It is:

Let me discover how amazing Jesus is, surrender myself completely to Him, and become who He created me to be.

When your identity becomes rooted in Christ, you don't have to spend your whole life convincing people you are valuable.

You already know where your value comes from.

You don't have to compromise to keep someone.

You already belong.

You don't have to chase applause.

You have a Father.

You don't have to hide from your past.

You've been forgiven.

You don't have to manufacture a purpose.

You have been called.

And you don't have to become somebody else to be loved by God.

You come to Him as you are and allow Him to transform you.

What Does God Say About Me? Biblical Truths to Remember

When you forget who you are, come back to what God has already spoken through His Word:

I am made in God's image.
Genesis 1:27

I am known by God.
Psalm 139:1-4

I am loved by God.
Romans 5:8

I can become a child of God through Christ.
John 1:12

I am chosen in Christ.
Ephesians 1:4

I am forgiven.
1 John 1:9

I am not condemned in Christ.
Romans 8:1

I am a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17

My mind can be renewed.
Romans 12:2

I am God's workmanship.
Ephesians 2:10

My life has purpose in Him.
Ephesians 2:10

I am called to bear fruit.
John 15:16

God is with me.
Matthew 28:20

His grace is sufficient for me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

Read these.

Write them down.

Pray through them.

Memorize them.

Speak them when your feelings are screaming something different.

Because feelings are real...

but they are not always T R U T H.

God's Word is.

Stop Asking the World to Tell You Who You Are

There will always be another voice trying to define you.

Culture.

Social media.

Family.

Friends.

Relationships.

Your career.

Your accomplishments.

Your failures.

Your body.

Your age.

Your relationship status.

Your past.

But none of these were given authority to create your identity.

Your Creator was.

So before asking Instagram...

Before asking a boyfriend or girlfriend...

Before asking your friends...

Before asking your career...

Before asking the mirror...

Ask:

“God, what do YOU say about me?”

Then open His Word.

And believe Him.

Not just when you feel it.

Believe Him because He said it.

That is faith.

– Reflection Time –

  1. What label have you been carrying that does not agree with what God says about you?
  2. When you think about your identity, whose opinion tends to influence you most: God's, your own, or someone else's?
  3. Which biblical truth about your identity do you have the hardest time believing right now?
  4. Is there something from your past that God has forgiven but you are still using to condemn yourself?
  5. What would change about the way you live, date, work, serve or make decisions if you truly believed what God says about you?
  6. Choose one Scripture from this article to meditate on throughout the week. Write it somewhere you will see it every day.

– Prayer –

Father, thank You that my identity does not have to be determined by my feelings, my past, my accomplishments or the opinions of other people. You created me in Your image, You know me completely, and through Jesus You invite me to belong to You.

Help me recognize every lie I have believed about myself. Renew my mind with Your Word and teach me to take every thought captive that does not agree with Your Truth. Where shame has spoken, remind me that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Where rejection has wounded me, remind me that I belong to You. Where insecurity has controlled me, remind me that my worth comes from my Creator.

Thank You for forgiving me, making me new and giving my life purpose. Help me stop looking to the world to tell me who I am. I want my identity to be completely rooted in Christ.

May my life bear fruit that brings You glory. Make me more like Jesus and help me walk confidently in everything You have called me to do.

I am Yours.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Forgiveness & Healing Root Causes | 01.04.26

God is on mission to fulfill His purpose over you. He starts with your healing — spiritual, emotional, mental & physical. One thing after the other. No breaks. Continually healing you to be more like Him and to equip you to do what He calls you to.

SPiRiTUAL HEALiNG

First and foremost, is spiritual healing. We receive God into our hearts, give Him our life, surrender it ALL. We are told that, “If anyone would come after Jesus, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Him.” — Luke 9:23. What does this entail? It entails becoming a disciple - a follower of Jesus.

To deny oneself is renouncing complete and total control of his or her life — dying to selfish ambitions, desires and prioritizing God’s will. To pick up our cross d a i l y means controlling fleshly thoughts. To follow Him is to follow His teachings errday. This is prone to suffering and persecution in Christ.

As I have learned in the past few years, is how God is soo intentional and purposeful about EV-ER-Y-THING. It was a Sunday service where my lead pastor mind-boggled me when he shared how we are spiritual beings in physical bodies ! Perhaps he shared it when I was in Bible College. Regardless, I was s h o o k e t h to be reminded and hear that again.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16

This reminds me of the jars of clay in the same chapter verse 7, how we hold an incredible treasure, which is the light of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit. As much as our bodies age and decay, our spirits — our innermost parts — grow stronger in our faith.

He makes us a new creation in Christ, no longer living for ourselves, but for Him - to give Him ALL the glory in all that we do. We are new creations in Christ once we say “yes” and accept Jesus into our hearts, and prophecy the sinner’s prayer over ourselves. Spiritual healing, along with all healing, is progressive and everlasting. We are and will always be sinners, hence will always need God’s healing. We will never arrive to being perfect.

One of my favorite verses that is printed on my heart is John 15:16 - “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” Oh, to be pursued by our Creator🥹. The pursuit began with Jesus choosing and appointing us, not the other way around! He has always been there, waiting for us with wide, open arms. He assigns us to be eternal-minded by leading more to Him (bearing fruit that lasts). He is a good Father who loves to give good gifts and bless us in return.

How beautiful to be Called & Chosen by our very own Maker, handwoven in our mother’s womb, appointed as prophets to all the nations (Jeremiah 1:5). Us as the clay, and He as our Potter. You, my friend, are made in God’s image. In the image of God you were created to fulfill His purpose over your life. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is God’s purpose that prevails.” — Proverbs 19:21. I pray that your life be aligned with His perfect will in Jesus’ name, amen.

E M O T ii O N A L L Y

There is no doubt that God can heal us in an instant. It is the soul — mind, will, emotions — that He does His best work in. Therapy, for the emotional aspect, helped me overcome the people pleasing I didn’t know I was operating out of. There I was, thinking I was helping when in fact I was enabling. There I was, playing everyone’s she-ro, doing the most for & taking care of everyone, b u t myself — finding solutions for problems and fixing issues that were none of my biz. Getting to the root of these unhealthy boundaries and expectations became a priority to me because I am a priority to Him.

I am not bound by what people who have hurt me, have said about me. One of those lies was that I was incompetent. Instead of believing and receiving that, I forgave. My worthiness is in Christ. He showed me to love and value myself as He predestined it. =>

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7

An amazinggg book, which played a key role with my emotional healing is called, The Emotional Healthy Woman by Geri Scazzero with Peter Scazzero — read it, if you have not already. ((: <33

M E N T A L L Y

I learned how to renew my mindset through mentorship and neuroplasticity.

“As a (wo)man thinketh, so is (s)he.” — Prov 23:17

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”           – Romans 12:2

I read books to guide me on reframing my thoughts and belief system. Scientifically proven, biblically-founded, Dr. Caroline Leaf’s “Switch on Your Brain”, was the one that lit it up for me — I highly encourage you to read, absorb and apply it. The greatest thing I took from it is how something could have ran in my mother and grandma, but refuse to accept that it is in me. Like the popular phrase goes, “It ran in my family until it ran through me.”

It astonished me how we have complete control of only 5% of our conscious thoughts. Now I know how to tear down toxic beliefs and build new, and healthy ones. This mindset is based on God’s Word and what He says about me, not my past failures or what others opinionate about me.

Paul the Apostle reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to “take our thoughts captive” aligning with Ephesians 6:12 — spiritual warfare. “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” In other translations, we cast down, tear down, demolish… this is not passive resistance. This is opposing anything to God’s Truth (( It is on like Donkey Kong! LOL)) !

Just as Jesus combated satan with the Word, believers are called to confront error with Truth. The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit and our greatest weapon in the supernatural realm. Use It every time the enemy tries his old tactics, because he is the father of lies. We are also reminded to use discernment against false teachings and philosophies that do not align with the Word of God.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm.” — Ephesians 6:12

P H Y S ii C A L L Y

Just because I appeared healthy, does not mean that I was. As athletic or fit as I seemed, over time, emotional/mental distraught took a toll on my physical wellbeing. All of the burdens I thought I was responsible on resolving, ended up negatively affecting my health — causing inflammation, hormonal issues, abnormal this and abnormal that. Praise God, hormonal imbalance is balancing by discovering underlying issues via a live blood analyst, who happens to be apart of my church aaand the women’s community I am in. *Shameless plug JoyfulFitLife*. =>

By His stripes we are healed, yes. As God heals you outwardly, He does His best work inwardly. *We cannot bear fruit without cleansing the root.* The root of un-forgiveness needs to be teared down. Everything gets better when you forgive. Our bodies are negatively impacted when we carry burdens, tension, trauma and un-forgiveness. Release, renounce all bitterness, resentment and un-forgiveness in your heart — every last ounce of it. Watch God take all the heaviness like the heavy-weight champion that He is only to leave you as light as a feather. (“

Forgive thyself, forgive those who hurt and offend you…forgive God. He doesn’t owe you nor i an apology. There is bitterness and resentment that may be in the heart and needs to be released. Sisss, take a d e e e e p breath. . .

L E T  G O O O O - && - LET GODDD.

Your healing is in your forgiveness. God forgives us and we forgive others. We don’t deserve it, yet He graciously does so because He loves us unconditionally. Forgive and you will be set free. Free of the bad memories, free of the loss, pain, guilt, shame, and sorrow. Your healing is in your forgiveness.

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” — Psalm 103:12

"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” — Colossians 3:13

– Reflection Time –

  1. Which area of healing — spiritual, emotional, mental, or physical — is God currently doing the most work in you, and are you surrendering to that process?
  2. Is there a burden, toxic belief, or unhealthy boundary you've been carrying that God is calling you to release today?
  3. Who or what do you need to forgive in order to step into the freedom and healing God has for you?

– Prayer –

Father, thank You for being intentional about every layer of my healing. You don't do halfway work — You get all the way to the root. Search my heart and reveal what needs to be surrendered, renewed and released. Heal me spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Help me to take every thought captive, set healthy boundaries, and walk in the identity You predestined for me. Where there is unforgiveness, soften my heart. Where there is fear, replace it with faith. I am Yours — chosen, appointed and loved. Do Your perfect work in me, Lord. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
